  • Intellectual Ventures v. T-Mobile USA, Inc. et al. Represented Intellectual Ventures in multiple patent infringement suits relating to LTE systems, including in February 2019 jury trial; representation included assessment of predecessor FRAND commitments (E.D. Tex.).
  • Music Choice v. Stingray Digital Inc., et al. Represented Music Choice in patent infringement and contract suits relating to media-on-demand technology (E.D. Tex.).
  • Intellectual Ventures v. AT&T Mobility et al. Represented Intellectual Ventures in multiple patent infringement suits relating to telecommunications systems (D. Del.).
  • Intellectual Ventures v. AT&T, Inc. et al. Represented Intellectual Ventures in multiple patent infringement suits relating to DSL systems (W.D. Tex.).
  • Theta IP v. Samsung. Represented Samsung in defending against two  patent infringement actions on RF Transceiver technology. (W.D. Tex. & E.D. Tex.).
  • Red Rock Analytics LLC v. Samsung. Represented Samsung in defending against a patent infringement action on Wi-Fi technology. (E.D. Tex.).
  • Represented a major medical device manufacturer in a damages action for infringement of foundational cardiac stent patents (D. Del.).
  • Represented a manufacturer of simulated high-altitude training systems in defending against patent infringement action, including a 2012 jury trial (S.D.N.Y.). 
  • Represented a medical device manufacturer in appeal on damages and validity issues (Fed. Cir.).
  • Represented a major pharmaceutical manufacturer and a university non-profit technology transfer affiliate in patent infringement disputes arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act (N.D. Ill.).

  • Represented a major pharmaceutical company in connection with allegations of false advertising under the Lanham Act (C.D. Cal.).
  • Music Choice v. Stingray Digital Inc., et al. Represented Music Choice in patent infringement and contract suits relating to media-on-demand technology (E.D. Tex.).
  • Represented financial guaranty insurers in disputes against sponsoring investment banks relating to residential mortgage-backed securities (S.D.N.Y.).
  • Kohr et al. v. City of Houston. Represented homeless individuals pro bono in constitutional challenge to City of Houston ordinances (S.D. Tex.).

Private Arbitrations

  • Represented a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in contractual disputes relating to two distribution agreements covering a billion-dollar product in two private arbitrations (Int’l Center for Dispute Resolution, New York, NY; Int’l Chamber of Commerce, The Hague, Netherlands, and Paris, France).
  • Represented a major medical device manufacturer in contractual dispute in private arbitration, including successful motion to compel arbitration following commencement in U.S. District Court (American Arbitration Ass’n, New York, NY).

  • Represented employees of commercial real estate broker in contractual dispute (Travis County District Court).
  • Represented financial guaranty insurers in disputes against sponsoring investment banks relating to residential mortgage-backed securities (New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division, NY County).
  • Represented group self-insurance trusts in constitutional challenge to regulatory and legislative actions relating to the New York State Workers’ Compensation Law (New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division, Albany County; Appellate Division, 3d Dep’t).
